Where do the rare earths I order come from?

Mokawa complies with Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act. This was introduced in the USA in July 2010 and has since been legally binding for US companies. The Dodd-Frank Act requires companies to disclose so-called "conflict minerals" that are necessary for the manufacture or function of their products. Conflict minerals are minerals whose extraction or acquisition supports armed groups. Earths from Mokawa do not come from the affected countries and can therefore also be exported to the USA without hesitation.

How is high quality of the products ensured?

The suppliers of our raw materials are carefully selected. Nevertheless, we check the materials supplied to us ourselves once again for their chemical composition, their mechanical properties and, depending on the case, also for their dimensional accuracy and surface finish. In addition, all drawing parts are checked at Mokawa with a 3D measuring machine. In this way, we can guarantee a consistently high quality of our products for you.

Does the mining take place fairly in the producing countries?

As a global importer and exporter of rare materials, Mokawa is aware of its responsibility. Unfortunately, we can only exert very limited influence on the conditions in the individual manufacturing countries and cannot monitor all working conditions on site. Nevertheless, Mokawa is committed to Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act and therefore does not import earths from conflict countries. This ensures that we do not finance armed conflicts with our work and you do not finance armed conflicts with your products.

How complex can the drawing parts be that Mokawa can produce?

Here, of course, no blanket answer can be given, except: quite complex. If you are unsure whether your request can be implemented, send us an inquiry with drawing and specification. Then we can make you a non-binding offer. Your data will of course be treated confidentially at Mokawa.

What are the limits of machining a particular material?

Every material is different. Basically, it is of course up to the customer what he wants to implement with the corresponding material. In case of doubt and if the customer wishes, we are happy to provide advice. Due to decades of experience with a wide variety of materials, we can usually assess the feasibility very well in advance.

The commissioned parts are subject to confidentiality agreements. How is secure and confidential handling of the transmitted data ensured?

In principle, we comply with applicable data protection guidelines when handling data, which are carefully implemented and followed at Mokawa. If a customer has security-related concerns or special requests in this direction, we are happy to get in touch and find a solution that meets the requirements.

Are all drawing parts manufactured in-house by Mokawa?

Yes. In 2005, we set up an extended workbench with our ISO-certified main supplier so that we could produce drawing parts ourselves. Before they are sent to us, they are inspected by our quality engineer on site. In this way, we achieve industry standards and you can also process complex tasks with Mokawa.

I am not sure whether my wishes can be realized with a certain material. Can Mokawa advise me here?

As a matter of course. We always try to advise our customers and assist with questions. Even our expertise has limits, but we can use our network to get a satisfactory answer for every customer question. Just ask, Mokawa will be happy to help you.

What warranty does Mokawa provide for delayed/damaged goods?

Mokawa is also dependent on external suppliers. If an order is delayed, our customers are informed in advance. Through our experience, in the vast majority of cases we are able to assess the risk and duration of a delay at the time the order is placed and discuss it with our customer. If there is damage or specification problems at any point in the supply chain, we work closely with our customers to find the best solution. So far, there have never been any problems in this regard, as we place great emphasis on customer satisfaction.

How is safe transport of the products ensured?

Due to our decades of experience with every material offered, we at Mokawa know what is important during transport. All goods are therefore properly packed by experts after being thoroughly inspected for damage. This reduces the risk of transport damage to a minimum.

What quantities does Mokawa provide?

At Mokawa you can obtain small quantities from a single piece to very large quantities. Our long-standing customers include numerous universities and research groups that rely on small quantities. For single wires and powders there may be certain minimum purchases. It is best to simply inquire about your desired quantity and we will tell you if we can accommodate it.

Is there a possibility to get material samples?

Mokawa offers you the possibility to order in advance in very small quantities. In individual cases, it may also be possible for us to send you material samples if we have the corresponding goods in stock. However, the best solution is usually to order a small quantity in advance. Just contact us about your request and we will find the best solution.

Can I also have a prototype made at Mokawa?

This is absolutely no problem at Mokawa. Thanks to our extended workbench set up in 2005, we are able to realize even more complex drawing parts. Since we also specialize in small quantities, ordering a single prototype is also no problem. Just ask us about this, then we can make you a non-binding offer.
